Genesis Book of the Bible Analysis

Genesis one includes the narration of all creation. The almighty spoke all aspects into existence over six days and relaxed on the seventh day. The origin of man is deemed to be in the sixth day hence considered as the acme of the creation. Man took pleasure in a unique rapport with God. Genesis Two deals exclusively with the making of people in more fact as opposed to the general idea given in Genesis one. Chapter one deals with the formation of the creation, which lasted six days. Chapter Two starts in the depiction that God rested after completion of creation on the final (7th) day. The remaining fraction of the chapter pinpoints purposely to the inception of Adam and Eve who made the relationship of people and God complicated.

In contrast to the Genesis narrative, nature is depicted in a different way, in the Native American creation narratives. In the narratives, the beginning was merely Tepeu along with Gucumatz (Feathered Serpent). The two personalities sat conceptualized, and whatever they contemplated, happened. They contemplated on Earth and its components, and it formed. If they thought of any natural thing it emerged superficially. The natural things had no praise for the feathered serpent hence they decided to contemplate on more sophisticated beings of clay. These beings got spoilt when they came in contact to water. Therefore, they decided to use wood, but they attested to being substandard and were sources of setbacks on the earth.

The implication of any society believing any of these theories promotes a rise of belief and religion. The role of women receives insignificant praise and redemption given that women are the instigators of the present world. They influenced the world to being what it is today. This could be clarified by the content of the Genesis garden-tale is enclosed by doubts. The distinguishing attributes that separates one from another is that, in the Genesis story, the woman came from man’s ribs while in the Native American story the woman just appeared. The tone employed on how man has to give thanks to his creator is submissive. Man was supposed to be under God in whatever circumstance. The Genesis creation story commences with God crafting the first person, whom he puts in the heavenly Eden garden. God commissions the man to be liable for the garden tasks, but prohibits him to consume from the Tree of Good and Evil. The tone in the Genesis story is not echoed in other mythologies as proved by research.

Evil plays a separating role in the genesis story. The serpent was the symbol of evil in many distinct ways. The sign of a serpent assumed an essential function in spiritual and cultural life of the creation story. The snake was a symbol of evil forces and confusions from the underworld, in addition to, being a sign of fecundity, life, and healing. Its sign of fertility is what instigated the Woman in the creation story to fall for its tricks. The snake is represented as a misleading creature or cheat, who supports as good what the Almighty had forbidden. The uniqueness of man is promoted fully in the Genesis story since he was created on the last day and was given reason for being in charge of the Garden. This also amplified in the principle that man was also created in the last day and given authority over the created aspects of nature.
