Giving Criminal Offenders a second chance

Incarceration
It is good to note that, the criminal justice system has with time evolved since ancient time to present a new series of punishment stratagems. Evolution has focused on reducing the extent of punishment to permit for a lesser extent of belligerence. In medieval Europe and ancient times in other societies, punishment was structured in such a belligerent methodology to explain the grievous part of a given crime.
However, in new times, punishment of rights of offenders is based on political ideals and the economic condition existing in a given jurisdiction. Incarceration has changed in recent times. The act of killing an individual has as well, “ironically” adopted human right factors. Punitive stratagems should be free and fair. This explains why it is necessary to adopt a stratagem; for instance, euthanasia. In particular, euthanasia has been applied in most states of United States. On the contrary, capital punishments have lost influence ever since the conclusion of World War II. With time, incarceration processes have been instrumental in minimizing negative consequences of punitive stratagems. In any case, incarceration processes have identified the negative consequences of punishments.

Two reformers
Juliette Kayyem has been instrumental in providing reforms in the criminal justice system. Parts of these reforms have focused on the central role of justice as a correction facility. Juliette has been influences in reducing recidivism and attempting to integrate the formerly incarcerated back into the normal system. Seconding this is a Republican Utah Representative Mike Lee, and an Illinois representative Richard Durbin who have been instrumental in pursuing the Smarter Sentencing Act. The act is resolute of incarceration in that, it provides a chance to an earlier release of thousand of inmates and largely give the inmates a second chance of survive.
